Ms. Shoshanna Chagall Gungur, JD MBA, specializes in business development, practice management and operations of technical incubators based on broad experience in power, water engineering and healthcare industries. As the Chief Operations Officer at RETECH Engineering, Inc., she is directly involved in executing projects in the US and around the world. She brings qualitative experience in successfully operating business entities, strategic planning and execution, overseeing marketing goals (national and international), sales, production, quality assurance, specific operations, value engineering / cost reduction, supply chain management, best practices and team management. Capable of creating out of the box solutions for business process optimization. Engages in implementing customized ideas encompassing tried and tested technologies alongside cutting edge options in the CleanTech sector, ranging from waste to energy, hydropower, wind power, solar thermal, solar PV, hydrogen fuel, waste water treatment and desalination technologies etc.
Over the course of her professional career, Ms. Chagall Gungur has been involved in a number of energy-related assignments in countries including the U.S., Haiti, India, UAE, Jordan, Israel, Canada, Bangladesh and Ghana, among others. She has worked on developing projects for multilateral organizations as well as U.S. and foreign governments. Previously, Ms. Chagall Gungur helped develop a renewable energy assessment for Haiti per request of the Ministry of Energy of Haiti which analyzed several technologies to be considered for financed projects. The technologies reviewed were solar PV power plant, smart grid implementation program, wind/solar rural application, LPG and LNG.
She has a strong propensity towards science; a chemistry, mathematics and biology undergraduate background led to offering technical oversight of prototype developments of renewable technologies, and she is currently working on a Hydrogen fuel generation demo plant based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Strong leadership skills are reflected in handling numerous aspects of commercial operations for a pilot solar-thermal plant in India with SLT Inc., while paving way for a 250MW plant in Gandhinagar. She akso worked on waste water treatment projects in India with a developmental mission of raising income for small farmers through increased access to irrigation water resulting in production of high-value food crops and improving transportation networks and handling facilities. Recently, she also participated in the EPCM division of a corporate assignment in Ghana, which envisioned the funding, development and implementation of projects namely, Independence Square and Millennium City, which support needs in areas of housing, energy and transportation in Ghana, through Greenah Consortium in Accra. Performs risk assessments and develops risk mitigation protocols for several water engineering projects related to Arsenic and Selenium removal treatments for municipalities in California and also for Dr. Bronner Inc.
Ms. Chagall Gungur has extensive experience working in different cultures and communities. For over five years, she has served as project manager and senior consultant on varying projects in a public-private partnerships and in private sector companies in the U.S. and around the world. In this role, Ms. Chagall Gungur has managed several projects in the field of renewable energy. Ms. Chagall Gungur has also been involved in several environmental and public participation projects in the U.S. and overseas. Among them, she participated Arsenic removal program in Dhaka, Bangladesh and a public participation program for better science education for women in the U.S. and in Israel. She constantly works on evaluating social and economic impacts of all the projects she encounters while thriving to make a positive impact on the planet. She frequently participates in renewable energy conferences and programs around the world.
In her spare time, she recently spearheaded as Executive Producer for the successful execution of financial and technical aspects of a motion picture, which required focus on maintaining schedule and tight budget constraints. Ms. Chagall Gungur is also Adjunct Professor of Strategic Planning, Healthcare Management and Legal Ethics at Loma Linda University, addressing the learning needs of a diverse graduate student body. She possesses extensive multi-lingual skills and wide ranging international experience, which enhances her fresh and vibrant perspective. Awards of note include a Public Interest Law Scholarship, Federalist Society Leadership recognition by Supreme Court Justices and Honors from Legal Aid Society of Orange County.
